Salary: Under the SCHADS Award and commensurate with qualifications and experience between $40.26-$43.93 plus shift loadings, super and salary packaging benefits. Saturday rate between $56-$61.50 and Sunday $72-69 an hour.

About the Opportunity

This highly rewarding and flexible role will see you working closely with individuals with adults with intellectual disability, psychosocial support needs and one young man living with quadriplegia to encourage them to live valued lives as independently as possible.

Your responsibilities could include, but are not limited to

  • Assisting with day-to-day activities and personal care
  • Drop-in support at client’s homes
  • Working with complex needs and behaviours of concern
  • Going out and about with client in their local communities
  • Promoting meaningful experiences and enhancing valued roles.

Let’s talk about you

  • To be successful in this position you will ideally have 2-3 years of experience in providing support to adults with complex needs, including physical disability
  • Have the ability to carry out shift work, including sleepovers
  • Be enthusiastic and creative with a strong commitment to social justice and passionate about encouraging people with a disability to follow their dreams, aspirations and goals.
