The Housing Connection (THC) provides supported accommodation for adults with disabilities. All the services of The Housing Connection are designed to facilitate more independent living for disabled people. The Housing Connection offers training services to residents of its supported accommodation facilities which help them to develop a variety of skills, including cooking and nutrition skills and self care skills which can help them to lead healthier and more independent lifestyles.

The Housing Connection also helps teach residents skills for travel, communication and improved social relationships in their community, along with home maintenance skills and basic financial management techniques such as banking and budgeting. Helping their client to develop expanded social networks by offering opportunities for participation in recreational and social activities helps to build their confidence and increase their capacity for self advocacy as well.

Providing supported accommodations for adults with disabilities provides a foundation for these people to attain a more independent lifestyle. By providing access to each user who is seeking supported accommodation services on the basis of relative needs and available resources, they ensure that those who have the most pressing needs receive these vital services which will enable them to improve their quality of life and become an active part of their communities.

The programs offered by The Housing Connection are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client in order to ensure that they their needs and goals are met in the least restrictive way possible. Each disabled individual that is served by The Housing Connection has the right to participate fully and make as many decisions as possible in relation to the accommodations and services they receive in the program.
