THC Housing is in need of donations from the public to help them carry out their mission of helping more Australians with developmental disabilities. The Housing Connection is a non profit organization which is dedicated to charitable work in the communities it serves. As such, it has tax concession stats and Deductible Gift Recipient Status (DGR) based on it’s designation as a Public Benevolent Institution. Donations made to The Housing Connection directly support adults in Australia with disabilities.
The Housing Connection accepts donations in several different forms, and there has never been a greater need for contributions from the private sector. This is because The Housing Connection is no longer able to rely entirely on government funding to support its services. The cost of delivering services to disabled Australians continues to rise while government funding has been more limited than in the past.
This situation creates a need for more private donations at THC Housing, and the organization is now engaging in fundraising activities for the first time in an effort to fill this gap and continue to provide services to as many disabled individuals as possible. In order to respond to the great unmet demand for The Housing Connection services, the organization has also begun charging a fee for some services.
They are also actively pursuing other sources of alternative funding including private donations, sponsorships, corporate partnerships and more. The goal of The Housing Connection is to continue to expand the services they provide to help more individuals and provide a real solution for the unmet need within the communities they serve.
