The Housing Connection Sydney offers many valuable services to people with disabilities in the Sydney area, including a transition to work program and 24 hour drop in support at supported accommodation facilities.
The organization is highly focused on providing support and training on a community level which help people with disabilities to better integrate and participate in society. In order to take advantage of the many services offered by The Housing Connection, individuals must meet certain eligibility requirements.
The first and most obvious criteria is that the individual must suffer from a disability. Also, The Housing Connection only provides support services to adults over the age of 18. Another requirement is that the applicant must receive some type of income and they must require help to learn, maintain and apply skills which will allow them to lead a more active and improved life in their local community.
The Housing Connection Sydney does give preference to people who meet certain eligibility criteria, including those people who live with their families and those who desire to relocate to the Sydney area within a local distance of The Housing Connection office in Chatswood. The Housing Connection provides services to clients in a range of Sydney suburbs including Lane Cove, North Sydney, Manly, Hornsby and several others. Any applicant who lives outside a 40 minute drive from the Chatswood office will have their case considered by the THC Board, which admits these applicants on a case by case basis. The Housing Connection Sydney is dedicated to supporting as many clients as possible but they are restricted by their available resources.
